Absolutely not! We welcome all ages from 13+ to any age. We have ladies who are almost 70 who are training with us and are showing no signs of stopping. The more you exercise and increase your mobility the better.
I haven’t done any exercise for many years, will this be suitable?
We welcome all fitness abilities and always have a real mixture of fitness abilities on our ladies courses. If you turn up the first week and can only manage 2 sit-ups - great! - that’s 2 more than you would have done if you were at home, you do what you can and your fitness levels will improve week in and week out if you keep coming to us! - That’s what our instructors are there for - to build your fitness up!
I’m nervous because I won’t know anyone, should I let that put me off?
NO NO NO … 95% of our ladies come alone and are in exactly the same boat - you will get to know the other ladies as we do a lot of partner work, holding the pads for each other
Can I bring someone along?
Absolutely, just forward the text or link to as many people as you can and they can sign up and join too.
I have medical issues - would this be suitable?
If you can kick and punch and your doctor is aware and happy for you to train yes! Our instructors can suggest other alternatives if you find certain exercises difficult and we will do what we can to support you.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Just a drink - all other equipment is provided by us.
What do I need to wear?
Gym clothes are fine, or something looser if you prefer? whatever you feel comfortable in.
What if I can't attend due to holiday, work commitments or sickness?
We totally understand not all ladies can make every session whilst on a course, that’s fine - just do what you can.
How long are the sessions?
Each class is 45 minutes long.
What happens after the course?
If you have enjoyed the course we would love you to continue with us - you get the option to move into our ladies class and have the option of doing 1 or 2 classes each week moving forward - same days, just slightly later time of 7:00-7:45pm. Monthly membership £59 for 1 class per week, £69 for 2 classes per week (no long term commitment - just a rolling monthly membership).
